The Seattle shootings were four blocks from my front door. We walk by that house All The Time on the way to visit neighbors. Even though I’m not there, I feel really – well – it’s awful. I feel like I should say something, but the only pale thing I can coherently state is this: I am for more gun control.
Dan, I ate your comment for dinner, for some reason, and didn’t get to read the whole thing. The Seattle Times [http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/home/] has lots of reporting on the awfulness.
Hope it at least tasted good…
Pam,
I know how you feel about the Seattle shootings. The ‘previous’ shootings was at the Wah Mee Club in Seattle’s International District in the early 80’s. It was a massacre of 12 people with one survivor. I had left the club earlier that evening. What a shock to me the next day!
Uncle Ben
Ugh, I read about the shootings on my flight back from CA. I imagine it’s particularly jarring when it hits so close to home– literally.
Aw, jeez, sorry to hear abou the proximity. Seems like the story I read was that no one at the party even knew the shooter….
