- I totally get the technique of letting a joke run for a long time, but that doesn’t always mean it works.
- Maybe we should laugh more at the outrageousness of racism when we are confronted with it. Cracking up all over the place because racist remarks are so out of line as to be unbelievable could be a really effective deterrent to racism. Maybe.

6. Frat boys in RVs are all the same.
I’m very excited to see it. It’s gotten some coverage in the news here, so I have hope it might actually come. I’m sorry for Khazakstan, because I think he could have said he was from someplace imaginary* without having lost any of the humor, but on the other hand if they think they’re the ones being mocked, I think they’ve missed the joke.
*Once got into a heated argument in college about the existence of Florin, birthplace of S. Morgenstern (“author” of The Princess Bride). I don’t think Turkishstan or something would have been such a stretch.
