I know Nerd’s Eye View readers are refined, cultured folks. Readers. Observers. People who appreciate a good cup of coffee, an excellent bowl of pho, a piece of music that evokes far away places. Which is why we’re doing something different.
Dude, we’re going to see people on wheels defy gravity at the LG Action Sports World Championships. And again, you’re going with me.
I know, I know, it’s crazy. But here at the Nerd’s Eye View HQ, we’re nothing if not open minded to checking out stuff we know absolutely nothing about. And yeah, we’re old and a little crotchety some days, and we are likely to recommend that you bring earplugs – in addition to binoculors. But we are going to learn a thing or two about momentum, gravity, and hang time.
Join us. I have two pairs of tix to give away. It’s general admission, we’re going to the 1pm events on Saturday, November 1st. Get your passes by leaving a comment with the word “action” in it. I’ll pick the winners at random.
Afterwards, we’ll probably go get tattoos. Or something. C’mon. It’ll be fun.
waaaah, I’m too far away. Embarrassingly, I am a fan of extreme sports, sports with hangtime, skateboarding, bmx biking, etc. I’ve even been to Tony Hawk’s Boom Boom Huckjam, where I was pretty much the only person over 20 who was not there to show the events to his or her child. Alas, I cannot go with you, tickets or no. Instead I will go back over to the skatepark and take more pictures. Hangtime, indeed.
