Okay, I love the quick water break before the big performance, and also, how you totally got into it at the end!
Oh man, now I’m gonna have to add ‘learn to play ukulele’ to my list of things to do in life. Scratch that, I’ll just save this url and visit whenever I need a little dose of AWESOME.
Wooot wooot!!! You, like Pat K, are a much better player than you give yourself credit for (love the second and third position A7s and the alternating base line at the end).
So…I’m watching and Tim comes into the room to see what I’m on about. Next thing, he asks me to check to see if there’s more…and then we find ourselves watching the entire Seattle Uke group doing their thing. So…all the way down to Toledo today, he’s humming “I Will Survive” (it’s at least an hour’s drive, too!). I’m fuzzy on when he switched to Donna Summer tunes…and then switched into “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”, remembering that show we saw your uke hero Jake play at Detroit’s
Concert of Colors fest…
Good thing the man did the donation thing a while back, so I couldn’t begrudge him his enjoyment with your brave entertainment!
Pam, I think you’ve got one of the most beautiful jawlines I’ve seen, and I think you did a great job with this- the only flaw is the amount of self-deprecation that you framed it with, because DAMN, lady: You did what you promised and you did it well. Few people can say that about ANYTHING, much less about playing the ukulele and singing alone into a cold camera.
Do you know a portuguese musician called Julio Pereira ?
He plays an equivalent (probably the same) instrument that here in Portugal is called “cavaquinho”.
I guess that you can find him on Youtube or Myspace, but I can’t tell you since I got a Pentium II and seldom see videos on Youtube 🙂
WAY TO GO, PAM! I give you mad props, the maddest (I don’t know really what that means). I posted the link to the Passports with Purpose fundraiser on Facebook a few times, so I hope that people came your way.
Goal Met – Public Celebration!
First stop youtube next stop itunes. You rock :^)
That was fantastic! Congrats on meeting the goal!
Pam,
Too cute. Way to support Passports with Purpose. You rock!
Pam, you are truly fantastic. Still got that stupid smile upon my face, even though I watched your video a while ago. Good for you!
Who would want to walk away? You’re a rock star. 🙂
That was awesome Pam! Loving the new ‘do too.

My kids are asleep, and I would rather gnaw off my own arm than wake them, so I’m coming back to watch this with sound at my EARLIEST convenience.
ukulele + disco song = brilliant
You totally ROCK — figuratively and… well, literally!
Carol
hahaha! I love it! 🙂

You made my day. Rock on.
Yup, you rock 🙂

Some day, when I’m feeling awfully blue, I will come back here and read through these comments again. And then, everything will be better.
Aw, shucks, you guys. Jeez.
