Every now and then someone asks me if I really play the uke. Yeah, I do. I’m not very good but I love to play. No, I mean I REALLY love to play. And the uke has been a big help with my stage fright issues. Occasionally, just to prove that I play and that the world will not crumble if I play in public, I do THIS. For the record, I’m very realistic — I know that I play okay and my singing, well, I’m mostly on key, but that’s about it.
That’s a third take and has mistakes — it was way better when A. played with me because, hello, more uke! And yes, my t-shirt, a gift from a uke playing friend, really does say “Celebrating 666 years of the Plague” because, well, I’m kind of weird and nerdy. Did I mention I play the uke? You should too, it’s crazy fun.
I love this. Really. Love. This.
I love this too – not just the ukelele playing, mind you, but the fun personality behind the gal strumming. 🙂
That was pretty boss, I tell you.
Also wanted to let you know I’ve been spreading the word about TBEX Call For Entries. Will keep going.
Thanks for the challenge.
Utterly charming and fun. The best version of Copacabana I have ever heard.
Thanks for posting this again. It brings back so many delightful memories! And thank you for the props. You made it happen.
What we need is more uke!
