Mike Sowden writes an excellent blog called Fevered Mutterings. He flew down from York, England to visit the temporarily relocated world headquarters of Nerd’s Eye View in Aigen, Austria.
While he was here, we visited the baroque Benedictine library at Admont, wandered the aggressively picturesque streets of Hallstatt, vanquished several servings of epic cake (with one battle nearly lost at the Zauner, a regal bakery in Bad Ischl), climbed a decent number of stairs in Graz, and perused some beautifully crafted local artifacts at Schloss Trautenfels.
But mostly, we talked about you.
Oh yay. I hope you were talking about how fabulous we all are. Because we were all busy talking about how fabulous the two of you are.
Glad there was cake, and a good time, and lemons, of course!
Excellent. I’m with Oscar on the topic of being talked about. Although I do hope the lemons aren’t indicative of the tone of the conversation you were having.
Katja beat me to it. Unless you talked about making those lemons into lemonade (so to speak), I’m scared. Very very scared.
Sounds like you two had a great time! We need to organize a roundtable somewhere fun one of these days – lots of cake (please to be bringing almond cake for me), strong coffee and great conversation.
Muhahaha.
