Actually, I think people know when they’re phoning it in. I mean, the folks hitting publish, that is. They know the links are junk, or the story published prematurely. They know they’re not giving their readers something they’ll love. They do it anyway. They need my easy, two-step plan!
Seeing the world. For so many “grown-ups”, the idea of the gap year, bugging out, putting it all in storage is the stuff of post-college. Youthful 20-something types who don’t care about carrying a pack or sharing a dorm room get to do this, not people with responsibilities or jobs…
I have responsibilities and jobs. And I care about carrying a pack and I won’t sleep in a hostel and I’m old, dammit. And i travel as often as I can. Trade offs, lots of ’em.
FYI, Step #2 can get you arrested in some jurisdictions.
