My friend Nia makes beautiful collage like artwork out of vintage tins and tin type photographs and other stuff. I own two pieces of her work (this is one of them, he’s the Patron Saint of Bees) and bought a small one for my mom as a Hannukah gift. Her work is getting more and more recognition and rightfully so, it’s good stuff. The next chance you’ll have to see it out in the world is starting January 2nd when her new show opens in Burien, Washington, but you can see it online any time on her portfolio site.
I shot maybe three dozen pictures of her in her studio recently, this is one of my favorites.
What an amazing space to create from….. 🙂
