Sort of related and later on the calendar, I will again be teaching at the Book Passage Travel Writers Conference in Corte Madera this August. I teach a class in how to not do any of the things that are supposed to make you successful on the web while still ending up as one of those people labeled as influential. Okay, that’s not entirely true. What I really do is teach aspiring travel writers not to fear technology and how it can help their careers. In a media sector that’s overrun with marketers, this conference exalts the literary side of travel writing and I’m happy when I’m there. Email me if you want to know more about it.
