Long Beach, Washington June 8, 2015June 8, 2015 This trail, in Cape Disappointment State Park, goes to a light house built in 1856. You can never tell what the weather is going to do on the Washington Coast, best you pack for the worst (and best) and go anyway. The wildflowers were abundant and huge; the foxglove were especially tall and bright. I love the way the beach becomes a place without edges when the fog rolls in. We had a hard time finding the ocean because everything was gray.
We were on the Oregon coast yesterday and the foxglove covered the hillsides along the roads like Scotch broom. I’ve never seen it so abundant. Reply

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so much of it myself. Gorgeous stuff.
Just beautiful, Pam. Makes me miss living in the PNW.
